Hope.

Strange waves touch my feet, as I open my eyes
To this new land, where I stand now
Watching the setting sun, searching for a star
For a memoir, that would remind me of home.

Memories of older times pass by me
Moments of happiness, moments of glum
Both evoke waves of emotions in my heart
Emotions as strange as these waves.

It's not long before the clouds clear away.

My thoughts about The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green.

I just finished reading 'The Fault In Our Stars'. And I must admit, it's by far the most beautiful story I have come across. It changed my views about Life, about Love and Cancer. Prior to reading, I had always sympathised with cancer patients. The word, in itself, brought in with it a feeling of hurt, of sorrow. I felt bad at looking cancer affected kids, or for that matter, anyone who had to go throught that hell.

But this book, it threw light on subtle yet important qualities these people possess that we normally don't notice. It showed me the strength and 'love for life' these people show. It left me completely out of words, to be honest.

They are people who have had Death knock at their doors, and they are the people who asked Death to leave them alone because they aren't giving up. They are fighters, they fight for their breath every moment. They fight for their loved ones, for their lives and they don't need our symapthy. All they need is compassion, for they are the 'brave souls', way braver than we can ever be.

There is so much to learn from them. Where we see only Darkness, they see a ray of Light, of Hope. They don't live with the fear of tomorrow, they live in today. They await a tomorrow which most of them are uncertain of, but which they most certainly deserve.

They are the most beautiful and courageous of souls that God has ever created. Because they are people who don't just exist, they LIVE. And they change lives that are surrounding them. Let's hope the day comes soon, when cancer will be just another zodiac sign!

#10 I am obsessed with some stories. If you can't say good things about them, better keep quiet.

#13 I believe in dreams. Because dreams make you happy, and happy is good.

#14 If I weren't a human, I'd be a dolphin or a horse or a swan.

#15 I don’t normally smile at strangers, but if I do it means you are illegally cute. Yeah, that’s kind of a compliment.

#16 If you aren't a fictional character, I am sorry, I don't care about your life.

#17 So what, if we have mutual friends? Unless I get to know you well, I won't consider you a friend.

#18 If you are nice to animals, you are automatically in my good books.

#19 I like kids that are quiet, smart and obedient. It's hard to find them, so generally, I don't like kids.

#20 I don't always go out for shopping. But when I do, I shop for the entire town.

#21 If I am sulking, I am probably bored. A cup of coffee and a nice little chat will help, unless I am tired and feeling sleepy.

#22 Things you shouldn't waste, according to me. Time, food and tears.

#23 I don’t normally say ‘I love you’. But when I do, I mean it.

*Confession Time*
Okay, so I read Twilight and I used to like it too. But now, let's just say, I don't any more. I remember fawning over Jacob, cursing Edward for being so possessive and almost ripping Bella's throat when she ditched Jake. Ah, I was such a kid back then. But one thing is true, Twilight taught me a lesson, something that I adore the series for. It showed me a way back to the Harry Potter fandom. It's not like I hate twilight, it's just that I find it a little silly.

One, Edward is actually a masochistic lion, as he calls himself. (Lion? Hm, I don't know if he was right there.) And, also because I had to stop crushing over Robert after watching him as Edward. It spoiled the image of Cedric Diggory, the cool Huff from Harry Potter, too!
Two, Bella is downright stupid. I mean, who in there right senses would throw away their mortal life for a blood-thirsty immortal life? (now, don't start with your 'it's-called-true-love' talks, please. Edward wouldn't love her less if she were human!)
Three, Jacob is very much like Sirius Black, who I consider my Godfather, and it was cool too. Until he 'imprinted' on Renesmee, who, FYI, was only a few hours old.

I can go on and on, but it'll all sum up to this in the end - I. Don't Like. Twilight. Anymore.
Nor any of the characters from the series, Jacob included.
Oh, wait. Maybe I do like someone till date. Officer Charlie Swan! Of course. He is cool, isn't he? :D

Rain! :*

According to Science, Rain is a natural phenomenon and being a Science student I am expected to accept it. But the poet in me would prefer calling Rain a miracle! I agree it helps plants grow, provides water to us and all, but that is not all it can do! The super awesome, extraordinary thing about Rain is its ability to take away your pain and worries and bring in you a feeling of ecstasy! I love Rain for it is the most romantic thing on Earth, even better than red roses and candle-light dinners ;)

Standing in the balcony, enjoying the divine smell of wet mud, letting the cold droplets send shivers down the spine, with a hot mug of coffee in hand., that's what I call Heaven! If I were the God of seasons, I would make sure it rained all year! But wait, that would really spoil all the fun, the best part about rain is the wait! The first drop of rain that falls, after a year's wait brings the widest of smiles on my face! I SO love Rain <3 <3

If I Were A Celebrity...

Everyone dreams of being a celebrity, I do too. But I have a different idea altogether, for me money isn't that important. What matters most is, one; that AWESOME feeling you get when someone adores your work and asks for your autograph! Two; the fan pages you can have on FB and watch the growing number of fans [I know this one's a little childish but it's true!] And three; the love and support you receive from your fans that gives you the feeling of being on cloud 9.

For me, being a celebrity means this, acquiring fans who love and respect your work. Fame is a desirable thing but recognition is satisfying too! Money is secondary because not every famous person is rich

 in terms of money. The love and affection people bestow on you is worth all the effort! I wish I were a celebrity with fans who respect me and my work, that would suffice! :) :)

Being A Writer!

Discussing why according to me, writing is easier than speaking. One, you get to ‘think before you ink’ and that saves most of the problems! And two, you get to correct mistakes that you commit before anyone can point it out to you, which saves you from the embarrassment!  Well, it’s true that an orator is given much preference at times, because talking sense in front of a crowd is a Talent, but I personally can express myself better through writing than through talking! Being a writer is AWESOME, you get to write your heart out, kill people you hate (make sure you have their names changed!) and be mean to all the haters. Give it a try, trust me, it’s fun!
